UGH!!

Here I am cleaning the office that I work in. I must have no life right now outside of work and school. I was told that I am nesting. All because I like a clean work environment. Anyway, I have another test this week over Biology and the cell division. Like I even care about mitosis and meiosis. How will I ever use that in the "Real World." We will see how it goes.

Moving Up In The World

This week finds that I am officially moving up in the world. I have been asked to serve on the Board of Trustees for the school that I am graduating from in the next 5 weeks. This is a huge career boost. I have also been invited to a legislative summit that is happening in Ohio next month. I hope that the really important people there don't think I am the hired help. I am also running for a the Ohio Region President of the international honors organization that I am part of. WOW. This is a great honor for me especially since I can barely spell the words that I am typing or even type the words I am spelling or the other way around. SEE. I hardly know if I am coming or going. I was also asked today to speak at a high school graduation. I guess I better learn how to say all of these words too. What has happened to my life??? I have become a serious person. How did that happen??? Is there a cure???

SuperBowl

Go Steelers. I think that it is the end of the road for the Seahawks. I can say for once in a lifetime, It doesn't matter to me wo wins. I am ok with both of these teams.

Television "Ongoing" Shows

I just got done watching ER and I wonder one thing. When will some of the shows I watch come to an end? I am trying to kick the habit but it is hard. Every year I refrain from watching new series shows that debut just so I won't get hooked. ER, Alias, 7th Heaven, and West Wing are the shows that remain. I haven't seen Alias in a while so I have given up the new shows and have resorted to buying the seasons on dvd as they come out. This is the last year for 7th Heaven and God knows when for ER. ER is the perfect hospital series, because it will never die. It is a show that you will miss when it is gone but will be happy that you don't have to commit Thursday nights to it anymore. The one show that is ending is probably my favorite series of all time, followed by MASH. That is teh Wetst Wing. This is the last year and I am already going through withdraw. I have auquired the first 5 seasons on dvd and Bravo has been great to show reruns for the last couple of years but it just won't be the same. I was already having theories about who the new President would be even before John Spencer passed away. Now it is worse. I think in the end it will be very possible to see Rob Lowe as "Sam" back for a short role, maybe even as Vice President or President. You would have to remember a specific episode of the President and Sam playing chess to know why I say that. I would vote for him. At least I won't have to get mad at myself for not recording it when I am not going to be home.

Storytime

Lately the only reading that I have been able to do comes from a textbook. Usually somewhere in the realm of the social sciences. I have been book shopping lately with the help of some Christmas gift certificates. Barnes and Noble gift cards make the perfect anytime gift, take it from me. I have recently also joined a book club and taken advantage of it several times. What is it with trilogies? Are we just trying to punish ourselves? Get through the first book and God knows when the next one will be published. Welcome to my world. I bought a book of an author that I am unfamiliar with but that really doesn't mean much. Robin Hobb author of "Shaman's Crossing." I just started this book at have been searching for the time to keep picking it up. A couple chapters in and I am hooked. I graduate in 6 weeks so more time is on the horizon.
